Pay Attention to the Whispers, Before they Become Bricks! #OprahsLifeClass #quote

This lesson from Oprah's Life Class didn't manifest itself in my personal life, but in my professional life.

It started several months ago. I noticed unusual activity on a website. I suspected the worse, so I contacted customer support.

All they said was that I needed to change my login information and all should be fine.

A couple of months later, the same activity resurfaced again, I contacted customer support, but never got a response back.

Then at that point, I knew I had to "wake up" from this nightmare.

I finally decided to close the account.

Recently, I saw a post about how said website with a security breach. I cannot tell you what a state of gratitude and vindication my soul feels. This is truly a lesson to trust your gut instincts.

The Space In Between Two Twitter names

Twitter-in-red-and-blue

There has been much twittering about changing twitter names.

In fact, there have been multiple how-to posts about how to, this is one of them.

In the end, I decided not to change names, but in fact launch another Twitter handle @StephCockerl

With the changes going on, I had to make a decision and establish a boundary between Stephanie and nextSTEPH.

I have been doing this already to some degree with the blog posts. Now, I felt that the time was right to also do the same with Twitter.

I know that there are others that have separated themselves from their business on twitter.

Have you found yourself having to create another Twitter handle for personal and/or professional reasons?

Power in Numbers, Tweets, and Posts, 2011 in Review

No wonder The Protestor was selected as Time Magazine's Person of the Year. If there is anything 2011 has taught is that  there is indeed power in words and in numbers.

Social Media has been a huge component of this because it aided in amplifying the voice of the people to monumental proportions.

Here are a few moments from the past year that truly demonstrate how people can truly move mountains when necessary.

Not in any particular order:

Who knows what 2012 will bring. We know one thing. There is power in numbers, tweets, and posts.

Santa's Getting Quite a Rep this Year

Santa might not visit me this year. So, I feel quite comfortable taking this risk. 2011 can only get better from here, right?

Just in case you missed it, here are a couple of videos starring the big jolly one himself.

Since today happens to be National Humbug Day, this first video may just do it.

Since I don't like ending things on a bad note, here's the second one with Santa and Siri.
